Belkin is a company that is noted for wired and wireless networking products. They deliver a diverse product line up around the world such as networking devices, satellite radio receivers, iPod, home theatre, and power accessories. Their networking connectors consists of routers, cables, Ethernet switches, hubs, and consoles for both home and commercial networking needs.
Belkin began from a California garage in 1983. Founders Chet Pipkin and Mark Reynoso were able to earn over $100,000 during their first year of business. Today they employ over 1,000 people all over the world and record over $1 billion in sales each year, with Pipking and Reynoso still heading the business.
Inc.Magazine has awarded Belkin with a Hall of Fame Award in 2003 and listed them at least twice as one of the “500 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the US”. They have also been recognized several times in the LA Business Journal for “ Fastest Privately Held Companies” and “Inner City Top 100.
Belkin offers a special product line dealing with “KVM” (keyboard, video, and mouse) sharing solutions. These special products allow users to control several computers with one keyboard, video display and mouse. They have both small KVM products, capable of working with 2 to 4 computers, or the larger KVM for large corporations allowing hundreds of computers to run off a single console. KVM’s are available in cabled, wireless, and remote versions.
